Using WordPress as Your Website

May 2nd, 2008

If you’re not ‘techie’ enough to write a website in HTML, or too much in a hurry even to make a website with ProfitSitePro or Dreamweaver then WordPress could be what you need.

Whether you install WordPress with the famous ‘5-minute installation’ or Fantastico, which is even quicker, if your hosting company has cPanel installed, it should be installed in the ‘root directory’. Then you just type http://www.mysite.comĀ  or whatever your domain’s name is and WordPress will appear as your home page.

This method is used a lot by marketers, because it’s so easy to call up sales pages (as I’ve just done). But even if you’re not a marketer it’s worth considering WordPress as your website because of the enormous facilities it offers for such a small input.

And you can completely change it’s appearance without affecting content by changing your theme. Take a look at Blog Themes Generator now
